- We want to engage with your child to understand how they see the world, solve problems, and perform developmentally appropriate tasks.
- The body is full of information about your well-being!
- Hair retains levels of stress hormones present in the body at the time of growth.
- Nails contain information about exposure to different chemicals in your environment.
- Saliva is full of information! In only a few milliliters of saliva we can find out about the various natural bacteria, hormones and chemicals present in the body.
- Additionally, we collect your child’s baby teeth.
- We want to know all about you! We ask that you fill out a few questionnaires so we can better understand you and your child, and the experiences you’ve had.
- We will ask your child to lay down in an MRI scanner and play games/watch videos while we take pictures of their brain.
*Please note that MRI assessments will take place at the CUNY Advanced Research Center in Harlem and your child will need to be screened in advance to make sure they are eligible to participate in this part of the assessment!
